Creative Brief
Phase 01: Research & Strategy
We must assess research before making any decisions on your brand's visuals. These questions will help us understand your brand strategy. In turn, you’ll revisit this to stay consistent and dedicated to the origin of why you started.
What’s the purpose of this brief?
Your answers summarize and get us thinking about your brand vision, goals, audience and competition. With a proper strategy, we’ll be better able to create an identity that attracts. Think about design as you would the mechanics under the hood of a car. Without it, the car wouldn’t serve much purpose but to sit there and be shiny.
Brand Assets & Collateral
Your logo is the face of your business. Now, it’s time to give it a body and personality. You do this by creating supplemental design collateral. Then, gather all of the designs you’ll be using for your brand and keep them in a brand guideline for future reference by you and your team.
FURTHER DEVELOPING YOUR BRAND
Now that you have your logo, it’s time to place it in various templates you’ll be using. Think of when your brand is exposed to your persona: email, proposals, receipts, packaging, business cards, letters, online and print ads, etc.
MAKE A LIST OF TEMPLATE IDEAS
Brainstorm what templates you can benefit from so you’re not scrambling to assemble something last minute when needed.
KEEP IN MIND
Once we complete the design process, the brand guide PDF will house your logo and color palette, brand strategy, values, persona, moodboard, photography style, and application examples. This will help you stay consistent throughout the brand experience and will help new team members learn how to create content that is “on-brand.”
